ANALYSIS OF ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE AND COMMITMENT OF NATIONAL PRIVATE BANKS EMPLOYEES IN BANDUNG CITY

Abstract

Developments in the business community in Indonesia is growing rapidly and also resulted in rapid cultural change. So that the organization is required to have a culture that differentiates it from other similar organizations. Acceleration of environmental changes result in a change in corporate culture, the success of an organization is not only supported by organizational culture, but also how the organization's growing commitment to the organization that is understood as an individual's psychological ties to the organization (Muchlas, 2008). The purpose of this study to analyze the Organizational Culture and Organizational Commitment in Bank Swasta  of Bandung.

According to Davis in Ahmad, 2007:131 Corporate culture is the shared beliefs and values ​​that give meaning to members of an institution and make the beliefs and values ​​such as rules or guidelines for behavior within the organization. While Luthans (2006:249) says as attitudes, organizational commitment most often defined as follows: A strong desire to remain as members of a particular organization, desire to strive to fit the organization, certain beliefs, and acceptance of organizational values ​​and goals.

Descriptive methods can be interpreted as a method of examining the status of a group of people, suatuj object, a set of conditions, a system of thought, or a class of events in the present, the goal to create a description, picture or painting in a systematic, factual and accurate information about the facts , the properties and relationships between phenomena.

The research was conducted in Bandung Private Bank employees. Number of respondents 80 employees, producing Organizational Culture Organizational level of effort and commitment of subordinates beyond what will happen, when viewed from the weighted average of 199.6 means Cultural Organization Culture Organiasi Private Bank employees Bandung high.

Cultural Organizations in the Private Bank city of Bandung is good and support the growing commitment of the employee organization. This is indicated by the calculated weight of Organizational Culture and Organizational Commitment. Thus if both the Organizational Culture Organizational Commitment will also be good, Based on an analysis of the Organization's commitment can be said that the employees in the Private Bank city of Bandung as a whole has a high commitment organization based on the weight resulting from the authors distribute questionnaires.
