PENGARUH SELF-LEADERSHIP DAN TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP GENERASI MILENIAL TERHADAP WORK ENGAGEMENT DIMEDIASI OLEH PSYCHOLOGICAL CAPITAL
Abstract
Karyawan generasi milenial saat ini telah mulai mendominasi angkatan kerja dan keberadaannya memberikan pengaruh yang besar terhadap berbagai sektor termasuk sektor kepelabuhan. Karyawan generasi milenial dituntut menilai secara internal dirinya dengan menggunakan strategi self-leadership dan secara eksternal menilai pemimpinnya dengan menggunakan karakteristik transformational leadership mengingat pemimpin memiliki peran penting sebagai mentor karyawan sehingga akan mempengaruhi work engagement karyawan. Penelitian ini meneliti tentang dua perspektif kepemimpinan, yaitu self-leadership dan transformational leadership. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mengetahui pengaruh self-leadership dan transformational leadership menurut karyawan generasi milenial terhadap work engagement mereka melalui psychological capital dengan responden karyawan generasi milenial sebanyak 114 orang. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif survey dan pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Partial Least Squares (PLS) sebagai teknik analisis dengan software SmartPLS. Hasilnya menunjukkan self-leadership dan transformational leadership berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap work engagement menurut karyawan generasi milenial yang dimediasi oleh psychological capital secara partial mediation di sektor kepelabuhan.
