PENGARUH K3 TERHADAP PRODUKTIVITAS KERJA KARYAWAN MELALUI DISIPLIN KERJA SEBAGAI VARIABEL MEDIASI

STUDI PADA PT. TIGA PERMATA MUSI

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) on employee work productivity with work discipline as a mediating variable at PT Tiga Permata Musi. A quantitative approach with an explanatory research design was employed in this study. The research population comprised all 130 employees of PT Tiga Permata Musi, and a total sampling technique was applied so that the entire population was used as respondents. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale and were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the assistance of SmartPLS version 4 software. The results indicate that Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) has a positive and significant effect on employee work productivity. Work discipline was also found to have a positive and significant influence on work productivity. Furthermore, the mediation analysis demonstrates that work discipline plays an intervening role in the relationship between OSH and employee work productivity. The R-square value of the work productivity variable is 0.716, indicating that 71.6% of the variation in employee work productivity can be explained by OSH and work discipline, while the remaining 28.4% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. These findings emphasize that the optimal implementation of OSH, supported by strong work discipline, is a key factor in improving employee work productivity.
