STRATEGI PEKERJAAN DETAIL ENGINEERING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KINERJA PADA PROYEK EPC DI PT. XYZ
Abstract
Pekerjaan rekayasa (engineering) memainkan peran strategis dalam menentukan efektivitas biaya dan waktu pada proyek Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC). Dalam pelaksanaan tugas-tugas rekayasa, muncul berbagai persoalan. Masalah seperti revisi yang berulang, dokumen yang tidak terintegrasi, dan pembengkakan biaya (cost overruns) menekankan perlunya strategi manajemen yang lebih terstruktur dan berbasis data. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kapabilitas subkontraktor, pemanfaatan teknologi, dan penerapan Sistem Manajemen Mutu (SMM/QMS) terhadap kualitas pekerjaan rekayasa rinci (detailed engineering), serta dampaknya terhadap kinerja proyek EPC. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran (mixed-methods), yang menggabungkan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 50 responden yang dipilih secara purposive, serta pendekatan kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam dan Diskusi Kelompok Terfokus (Focus Group Discussion/FGD) dengan para pemangku kepentingan proyek di PT XYZ. Analisis kuantitatif dilakukan menggunakan metode Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) dengan perangkat lunak SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga variabel independen—kapabilitas subkontraktor, teknologi & aplikasi, dan SMM—berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kualitas pekerjaan rekayasa rinci. Selanjutnya, kualitas pekerjaan rekayasa rinci terbukti menjadi variabel mediasi yang kuat dalam meningkatkan kinerja proyek EPC, terutama dalam hal efisiensi biaya dan ketepatan waktu. Studi ini juga menghasilkan rumusan strategi yang terintegrasi dan aplikatif berdasarkan hasil FGD dan analisis TOWS untuk mengoptimalkan pekerjaan rekayasa rinci serta meningkatkan profitabilitas proyek secara sistematis. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi praktis bagi manajemen proyek EPC dalam membangun sistem rekayasa yang adaptif, berkualitas tinggi, dan bernilai tambah
