Abstract

This study examined job satisfaction in mediating the influence of job involvement and perceived organizational support for organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), using a quantitative approach through a survey instrument for 188 four-star hotel employees in Semarang. The results showed job involvement and perceived organizational support positively and significantly affected OCB through job satisfaction. Theoretical implications of the results of the study support both existing theory and research, while managerial implications suggest for organizations (the hospitality industry) to consider job involvement and perceived organizational support as important factors to improve employee satisfaction in order to increase the OCB.
